Carlos is, hands down, the best barber I’ve ever been to. I have a stubborn cowlick in the back of my head that has defeated every haircut I’ve had—until now. For the first time, it practically disappeared. On top of that, my head is a little lopsided (something most barbers never seem to account for), but Carlos somehow shaped the cut so everything looks balanced and symmetrical.

He also suggested going a bit shorter to work with my thinning hair, and the result took years off my appearance. The cut looks clean, modern, and natural. He even recommended a couple of products that give my hair a healthy shine and hold everything in place without that stiff, plastered look.

The difference was so noticeable that people at home and at work commented on it right away. If you want a barber who really understands how to work with your hair—and even the quirks of your head shape—Carlos is the one to see.

I met Carlos in Palm Springs at a large party where he was bar manager. He mentioned that he cuts hair. Two hours later, I was in a patio chair with a barber cape, explaining my vision for my hair and beard that no one to date had been able to make happen. Carlos did my hair in stages to make sure that what I was telling him I wanted was what he was understanding, and that I actually liked what I had envisioned. Having no prior experience with my hair, Carlos actually improved on my vision. I can’t believe it’s me in the mirror and my friends can’t believe the transformation.

At an event event in Palm Springs, I had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Carlos, who was offering his services for a good cause. His warm and calming demeanor encouraged me to take a leap of faith and give him complete creative freedom with my hair. After asking thoughtful questions about my lifestyle and preferences, he began to work his magic. Since there were no mirrors at the venue, I had no idea what to expect during the process. When he finally revealed the result, I was absolutely blown away—I’ve never looked this good in my life. Carlos is nothing short of a genius. My only regret is that he doesn’t live closer so I could make him my regular barber.
